Edoardo "Edo" Baroni

Guitar

Born in Brescia on September 28, 1991, Edo Baroni has emerged as one of Italy’s most distinctive contemporary guitarists, blending jazz sophistication with a modern international sound. He began studying jazz guitar with Luciano Poli before refining his artistry under acclaimed musicians Sandro Gibellini and Roberto Soggetti. At just eighteen, Baroni earned admission to the Luca Marenzio Conservatory as the only successful candidate selected from nine applicants.

Edo completed his first-level degree in Jazz Guitar in 2014, followed by a second-level academic diploma in 2017 under the mentorship of Peo Alfonsi. Expanding both his artistic and educational vision, he later earned a second-level diploma in Music Didactics with a specialization in music therapy for developmental learning disorders in 2020. During his conservatory years, Baroni was also a member of the prestigious Chick Corea Academy.

Alongside an active international performance career, Baroni has built a respected presence in music education. In 2018, he joined the faculty of the Giacomo Puccini Conservatory as a guitar instructor, later teaching Music Propaedeutics at the Claudio Monteverdi Conservatory. In 2023 and 2024, he also served as Guitar Instructor for the Music Therapy Department at the Bruno Maderna Conservatory.

As both a solo artist and sought-after session musician, Baroni maintains an extensive and internationally focused concert schedule. His debut solo album, Dawn, released in 2022 by Clockbeats and produced by Dario Mollo, debuted at No. 1 on the Amazon Music sales chart. In 2023, he followed with SONGS, a sophisticated jazz reinterpretation of Italian and international pop classics. His third album, By Heart, arrived in December 2024, leading into a major international tour that included eight performances in Japan, highlighted by an appearance at Expo 2025 Osaka.

In May 2026, Baroni released his fourth solo album, The Ash Wednesday Supper, again collaborating with Clockbeats and producer Dario Mollo. The project was accompanied by an international summer tour spanning Italy, France, Switzerland, and Japan.

Beyond his solo work, Baroni has collaborated with numerous acclaimed artists and ensembles, including singer Daniel Adomako, winner of Italia’s Got Talent 2013. He is also co-founder of the Capoferri Baroni Duo, whose debut release Jazz Album & More — featuring compositions by renowned composer Paolo Ugoletti — reached No. 1 in Amazon Music’s Jazz chart. Equally at home in jazz, Latin jazz, classical repertoire, and contemporary crossover projects, Baroni continues to establish himself as a versatile and globally minded artist with a refined yet modern musical identity.
